PMP Certified Salaries
Project management salaries vary from country to country, as with any global occupation,
and the United States has some of the highest payed project managers in the industry
as a whole. A certified
Project Management Professional's
salary, however, is more on
average than a non-certified PM.. Let's take a look at some of the facts:
The median base PMP certification salary in the US for someone working in project
management is $105,000 a year. Now, those who have been certified as a Project Management
Professional (PMP) for five years make an average of $113,000 a year.
PMPs who have been
working for ten or more years have an average salary of $120,000 a year. That is nearly a 15%
salary increase for certified PMPs. And in some cases, this percentage can be even higher
depending on the company and the specific field of industry.*
On average, certified Project Management Professionals make a good deal more than
non-certified project managers. Due to the level of experience and professionalism,
PMPs are more highly valued, which certainly is apparent in each paycheck.
